a good film: Good Bye lenin!

I really love to watch films a lot, then it is very difficult for me to choice one of them as the best I have seen. But at least, the best film I have seen, was Good Bye Lenin! of the german director, Wolfgang Becker made in 2003. The first time I saw it, was 2 years ago. I read the argue of the film in a magazine and after I started to search it in different places. Finaly, I found it in the "Persa Bio-bio" (a place that I really hate) in a stall that sells bootleg films for only $1,000. When I returned to my home, I saw it, whit my brother, and we were very impressed. The story is about the fall of the old German Democratic Republic in 1989, in particular about a family divided by the political positions, (the mother is a suporter of Honnecker and the workers party and the son is a suporter of the opening to the west) but when the mother suffer a heart attack and after 8 months in coma, (time in what the berlin wall was fell) the son decides to keep alive the German Democaric Republic for care his mother. Is a great film that I have seen more than a dozen times!

Hi, my name is Mauricio. I live in Chile but I was born in Colombia. I arrived to this country when I was 7 . Actually I 'm 19 years old. I'm younger than my classmates because I went to Kinder grade when I was 3, I was very smart at that time. I study geography at the University of Chile, I'm in the 8th semestre. at the begining it was not my favourite career but now I'm very pleased whit it. I live in the district of Maipú at the south west of Santiago, in a very poor zone. I took a long time in coming to college everyday. I live with my mom Myriam and my twin brother Martín. He is studiying at college too. I like to play bass guitar and I have a band with my brother and two more Pals. We play often in some little bars or in different places, whit some other bands of similar type. I have much fun playing with my friends, everybody drinking a lot, and I have a really good time. Sometimes my girlfriend go with me, but not always because she lives in another city. That's all Bye

Learning English

Well, Now I will write about my experience learning english...

I'm learning english since I went to Kinder grade, in 1992. In these days I learned about simple things of the language as numbers, colors, animals and others simple expresions. Then I continue learning in the following school grades, but in 5th grade, when I came to Chile, I was sent to a public school, then I did not have english classes for two years. In 7th grade, I returned to have classes until my last year in the school, but the quality of the classes were very poor. Most things that I know in english I have been learned listening to the music, searching the lyrics of my favourite bands, and translating them with a dictionary. Really I think that I'm not very good learning english and I feel that is easier to understand than speake, but only by the difference beetween both languages (spanish and english) for exampl is more easy for me to learn french.
I have a good memory for learn new words, so I have a good vocabulary in english, but the difficult thing for me is the using of the verbal tenses. I think that the english cultur is very serious, I imagine the British people as very serious and timely (maybe that's the image that the Britons show to the whole world) but at the same time, the many young people in Britain has always been very advanced in avant-garde tendences . Anyway I prefer the British accent over the North American. In the end, I think that the english language is the most important today in whole world (Would that be the spanish!) so is very important to speak english for everyboy

Sepetember 18th

The national holiday of Chile, is in September 18th, day of the First goverment meeting happened in 1810. In September 18th, chileans do lot of typical things (unlike the rest of the year) and games like "rayuela", "palo encebado" and the popular kite flying. Also chilean people love to eat and drink a lot when the September 18th comes, the family meets in barbacues and they drink grape chicha and wine. Other typical foods are the "empanadas" and the "anticuchos", those foods and drinks can be find in "fondas" or "ramadas", places where the people dance "cueca" or other popular tropical dances. I discovered the September 18th, when I was 8, because only in this year I arrive to Chile. In Colombia, the national holiday is less important, so I was very impress by the magnitude of the feast. But my family never do anything for the September 18th, because this day don't have any importance for my mother, (She's Colombian) for this reason, I just feel this day like another holiday.
I like much the typical foods and drinks and I always try to eat and drink a lot, that is the matter for me.
Nowdays I pass this days with friends having a little holidays.

Me, five years from now

When I see to the past, five years back, I realize that my life has experimented a lot of changes. It makes me think that within five years lot of things will be different. In the begining, I think that I will be professional, (I hope) so therefore I will be working, I can't imagine where, but I'm sure that I will doing that. Maybe I will still be living in Chile, or maybe in another place of South America, but anyway I hope to can make any post-graduate abroad and return after. I think that I will living alone, or with any friend. Anyway I imagine me still making music, maybe whit the same people or maybe not, but the idea is to continue playing music. On the other hand, I think that the world will remain the same, whit it good things and it bad things, but, I'm sure, that I will be better than now
